"I grew up playing drums and guitar at the age of 7 before turning to bass in the early 80's. I had some success with a band then and had some air play on MTV. The band came and went, just like the 80's. Years after that, I entered the cover circuit hiding behind the bass guitar. I was approached by some fans asking me if I would be singing more songs at upcoming shows. It got me thinking... I purchased a new acoustic guitar and during the bands electric set, I would go up on stage and play a 45 minute set myself. The response was overwhelming and got me thinking that I need to be up front meeting the people and fronting a band".

"SOUTH STATION was the name of the new project I had created and really launched me back into my first love, singing. During this time I started writing songs based on events that were going on in my life and my style of country-fied-rock-pop was born. I was listening to a lot of country radio and took a major liking to artists such as JoDee Messina, Phil Vasar, and the newer sounds of the up and comers.  I approached a former colleague of mine with a demo that I had done in my basement and from there I was in the studio recording ( playing drums, bass, acoustic guitar and all vocals) for real, attending photo shoots, doing interviews and creating this thing called "Glenn Stewart", the band".

Growing up in Auburn, Ma. About 45 minutes from the melting pot of rock music, Boston. Influenced by blues driven, southern rock styles of music with a love for a strong melody line with a hook, Glenn turned to country music to make his mark. Creating  a hybrid of COUNTRY, ROCK and POP he calls "COUNTRY THAT KICKS"  Glenn entered the studio in September of '06 and turned out an 11 song autobiography, and a soon to be released LIVE DVD featuring footage from THE TWEETER CENTER, in Mansfield Ma, Glenn's showcase at 12TH AND PORTER, Nashville TN, and various other live shows and still footage.
"  There is something for everyone to relate to on this record.  It's full of meaningful lyrics and strong melodies.  The 11 songs on this record are very catchy and hit home.  You'll find yourself tapping you toe's, I promise! "

Recorded and co-produced with Jim Foster, this record packs a serious punch that can match or top any major label release.
